Just sharing this experience at Vkool, the one at Sin Min.

Discovered lines on the film, caused by the hardening of rubber found in the front windows, and called up V Kool. Over the phone, a lady by the name of Viji informed me that such scenario are not covered by the warranty. I went down anyway as i wanted to get it replace because it is affecting the side mirror view.

However, after looking at the film, Viji replaced them for free as a one-time goodwill. I also find the technicians behaviours professional. they take the trouble to explain to me the damage is actually caused by the hardening of the rubber and dirt embedded. they took them out and did a thorough cleaning. Now must go look for replacement.

Anyway, just sharing this lucky experience.

i wanted to give a justification to the VKool branch in Toh Guan Centre. Where Zaino is normally located. They do a very good job and are always friendly.

Front 70%, rear 25%. See this extract from onemotoring:

Tinted films


The following requirements must be met when installing tinted films:

a) They must not be of the reflective type.
b) The resultant light transmittance for the front windscreen and two front side windows must be at least 70%.
c) The resultant light transmittance for the rear windscreen and the rear passenger windows must be at least 25%.
d) The front windscreen must not prevent, obstruct or interfere with the transmission of signals between the In-vehicle Unit (IU) and Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) facility.

my ride's doors are frameless and the windows wind down a little whenever the doors are opened, this caused bubbles to form during the 24hr `mating period'. went down to the branch at sim ming, and they replaced it. Thumbs up for their after sales service.
