Under chassis creaking sound

i'm experiencing a rather "noticeable" under chassing creaking sound whenever going through manholes or humps.

the most obvious scenario is each time when i come out from my block mscp, i must turn right and go through a hump immediately. sometimes, i don't brake and just go through the hump naturally and the whole car shake & flex and i can hear the creaking sound.

what are the possible areas to look into such as under chassis brace, front/back lower arms, bushing, swaybar, joints lubrication, etc ?
is this another common problems for e90 ?

conclusion: going straight = no problem. turning while go through manholes, humps, up/down mscp car park, the creaking sound is noticeable due to flexing.

can claim warranty from pml ?

any feedbacks and suggestions are greatly appreciated. thanks !

Re: Under chassis creaking sound

Go pml n they will do a chasis tightening for free if under warranty. Might not solve the problem but one possible source is eliminated.

Re: Under chassis creaking sound

thanks for your suggestion. will definitely ask for that in my next servicing :D
must fully utilise my warranty claim mileage ... kekeke

Re: Under chassis creaking sound

Same thing happened to my previous car as what you discribed. Its the bushing that causes the creaking, after change out all back to normal. Not sure its gonna be the same case as yours though.

Re: Under chassis creaking sound

will try tighten all first. 1/2 year later will consider to change all out.
perhaps upgrade to M3 bushing (stiffer) for the extra "push" if the cost is not prohibitive

Re: Under chassis creaking sound

it seems like the problem lies with front/rear ARB
too much hard cornering and no snail speed over hump :D

It may cause premature wear in front suspension component.

Re: Under chassis creaking sound

yeah. i'm afraid by changing the front&rear ARB alone might not solve the problem because there could be some suspension components premature wear :(

Re: Under chassis creaking sound

the faulty part is the suspension guide support / strut mount (see below diagram, item 1)
after replacing the part. the ride is swee swee and can hard corner again :D
kudo to BOSS Motorsport technicians. they cleaned the coilover meticulously, insulate the spring with plastic hose and adjust the coilover height (several rounds) to my likings.

Re: Under chassis creaking sound

I just changed mine too (item 1)....

Re: Under chassis creaking sound

you are on coilover too ? i'm told item 1 failure rate is higher for car that is using coilover compare to stock suspension due to the added pressure.

I was on stock. The day I change to coilover and workshop took the suspension apart, we noted the thing is quite worn, so workshop recommended me to change....
