Under appreciated speed

Some cars don't get the credit they deserve, or were once respected and have since become forgotten. The 280ZX used to be well thought of, but its image has become tarnished (Clarkson's comments on Top Gear). Any other cars you can think of that deserve more respect?

Those cars are a classic - not many remember the Datsuns including the humble 100A in Singapore. When I was in primary school, we talked about having one when we grow up.

Then BMW came along - my father switched over and never looked back...........

Remember the black and yellow roofed Datsun 220C taxis with column gear change and bench seats! ;)

The Alfa Montreal used to be the glamour car in Alfa publicity. 200 hp quad cam fuel injected V8, now you hardly hear about it.

Re: Under appreciated speed

With the 325i and M3 e30s that followed, the original 1978-82 323i is somewhat overlooked IMO.

Re: Under appreciated speed

the 280ZX basically got over shadowed by the 240Z.

still, it's quite a looker in my books.

Re: Under appreciated speed

IMO the 1972 e25 BMW Gullwing Turbo looks better than the e26 M1, pity they only built 2!
