Sand Blast ?? It feels rough rite.

Dun bother to use wax....go buy a claybar and do it. But if it has been left baking for quite sometime, you may need abrasive polish to remove the residue.

Thanks for the tips bro...

Heard abt claybar but whats Abrasive polish? Where to get it? :(

abrasive polish can be any brand. I am using the one from 3M. Its grey in colour. If you need to go thru the whole car with this...I suggest that either you get a orbital polisher or ask someone to do it...cos quite tiring to do it manually.

Try the claybar first...remember to use lubricants. I can recommend you a damn good and cheap lubricant....go to Shell stations and look for those Shell own packaged car shampoo...its a small bottle that looks like those brake fuild etc. Lots of foam using a little bit of that concentrated stuff....

So what you do is...wash your car...then make a foam bath for your car....let the foam settle on the car surface and use claybar to rub. After that...just rinse off the shampoo can liao. Your car surface will be baby butt smooth again.

Opss..forgotten to tell you where to get the polish....

You can buy the polish at Autobacc or Home Fix DIY.

If you are not sure if you got the right stuff...just put a drop of the product on your fingers and rub...you should feel some rough texture on the polish.

Thanks "Shi Fu"...!!

Beer on me! Anyhow, I am Daniel...

Hope to see you at the mthly gathering (if you are there).. Cheers! :)

Dun call ShiFu lah...far from it. Still learning from others like you.

Name is Kelvin. I see if I can make it this round of meetup...cos not every Sunday I can escape from home one.... :silenced:

Comrade Kelvin,

Cannot find Abrasive polish from few DIY stores :( leh? Any other names they call it?

Try HomeFix DIY shop...confirm have one.

Look for the 3M brand. I think call the scratch remover (for darker colour) or something like dat. Without letting the staff see you...open the bottle and see if the stuff is grey in colour. If its white one dun take...that one is useless. The grey one is good.

But why dun you try claybar first ? If it can be done with the clay bar...your job would be very much simple.

Xia Xia again Bro!

Got the claybar with me now... Want to experience both method so can pass down my Shi Fu skills to the next needy.....

Brudder....please dun call me shifu...me also learning only...

Shifu are those who runs polish shop one.

I saw this pic & thought that it was damn CUTE !! If this ad appear in Singapore...there will be media war.

The last I remember seeing this was during one of SMSA supersprint event that was sponsed by Subaru....all cars have to display the sticker "Subaru Ahead Of The Evolutions"....damn under the belt man.

"There is something strange, in the neighbourhood, who you going to call ? ---- Ghostbuster "

but if

"There is Sand Blast on your car, who you going to call? ---- Ghostrider (Kelvin)!!!

My nightmare finally over...!! Now my car is smoother than my butt alright!! Thanks for yr advice Kelvin...!! :)

Manage to get the Meguiar brand Clay bar or some call it Clay detailer from DiY store at Causeway point basement... but cost me $36.. in the same time can get the quick detailer (same brand) acting as lubricant.... Like what Kelvin mentioned earlier, using this method is much easier... I fully agree!!

The second method using 3M product works well too but "siong" unless you have 16" biceps..... The name of the product is call Swirl Mark Remover..... comes in two types... white colour for lighter coloured cars and Grey for the dark ones...

So... for those like me having park their car in industrial estate like Jurong.....   8)

Cheers!!

No problem dude...glad that your problems have been solved.

But the merguair claybar a bit expensive leh...I bought the zaino one cost me only $18....Japaness brand about 12plus...

Dunno about the merguair brand...but if you are using zaino, you can use the shampoo as lubricant. I cheat and use either the 3M car shampoo or the Shell car wash...cos the foam is very rich...can play "sabun" party liao.

I prefer to use shampoo as well, rather than a quick detailer. :) It's much cheaper and seem to glide better... I rekon the only downside to using shampoo is to re-wax a little bit. :)

Normally after I claybar already I dun re wax the car...just leave it as it is....

But when I very free and got a few hours to burn...I claybar and then zaino my car...after that..drop dead from the execise !! :laughlik:

Use a foamy shampoo...its better as it helps to lift the dirt off the surface of your car.
