Typhoon CAI on M3 Installed

This was the long anticipated short ram air intake by K&N called Typhoon.
In the US, It's been dynoed at 8.9hp gain at 6K rpm..

Great sound,...pretty loud but sweet when revved..

I can vouch that this intake is a real gain in terms of power and torque, not somekind of butt feel. Besides, it's probably the cheapest around at just USD 250 bux..Gotta love it

Got to modify a little. If you notice, the elbow has a fixed flange mount for the M3 MAF sensor.
This will have to be blank off for non M3.

So no point modfiying as the cavity of the flange mount area will create turbulence and cause MAF reading accuracy since your stock MAF is before the elbow.

Yup tats correct.

This setup is meant only for the M3. Unless if you can look into changing your MAF sensor to the M3 type. Which is not impossible IMO but need electronic experts advice on this.

There isn't but if u like u may wanna consider the newly launched GruppeM for Valvetronic engine but ain't come cheap :verysad:

Yeah, personally like the black one but since the whole engine bay looks black black already so decided to go with the silver to get the contrast.
