wonder if this is done by anyone here???

thought our bimmers have a 6 year warranty on corrosion so i guess Tuffing the under-carriage is not required???

our glass is tinted already, so further V-cooling it???

total for the works would be about $1.2k...

Hi dude,

when was the last time you a rusty car?
tuffing is for cold countries where the put salt on the road.

I would save the $ for tuffcoat and spend on V cool,

just my 2 cents

my friend's 3 year old merc S280 is rusting at all 4 wheels... so i dun think salt is the only factor, dog pee is pretty corrosive too. having said that, unless your dog's really small and was trained by the moscow circus, i don't think your under-carriage is in immediate danger...

what kinda rims he got? stock?

not sure if they were stock, but i suppose so, they look like the ones u see on the taxis.... but it wasn't the rim that rusted, it was the wheel nuts and the inside bits.... not the brake disc itself i think... but everything else within was rusted(sorry, dunno the technical names)

funny thing was his car was parked next to a 15 yr old merc when we noticed the rusting; i looked over at the old merc and didn't notice any rusting at all, so i'm guessing that its probably his dog's doing and not a reflection of poor merc build quality.

Rick1818... $1.2k was for Tuff Kote and V-Cool.

i believe V-Cool should cost me about $800-850.
