It appeared to me that the 997TT got off the line faster at the drag.
But honestly, I suspect most of the gains were due to DSG. There's hardly any let up in power transfer through the gears.
FWIW, PDK on the 997TT would even things up.
The driver did comment that the 997TT was under steering at the front initially and then over steering at the rear when the power kicked in. Not sure if that's the problem with the tyres alone cos I do read that there's often not enough weight on the front of the car to give it enough traction. Fifth Gear did a test on a Porsche UK configured 997TT and Bruno Senna seemed to comment on the same issue as well.
