Tire replacement charges from PML

Dear Experts, need your advice and comments please.

PML quoted my the following prices to replace my tires. You think its reasonable? Or can I get it cheaper from outside, like BVO, BMWorks, etc?

Bridgestone 225/45/17 : (each at S$251 x 4 pieces) + S$245 labor.

iam assuming these are bridgestone RE050 run flat tyres? price sounds cheap but labour is too much. probably why the tyres are cheap. divide out the labour cost across 4 tyres its about $300 each. see if tyre shops can do better than this price. but on the whole i think its cheap if they r RFT.

Sorry I forgot to mention, the price quoted are for normal tires.

Hi Bro,

Do visit a tyre shop to Seek more options, depending on your current condition of your tyres and rims, some tyre shop can do a “super duper” deal by swapping the entire set for you if you are willing to purchase a “trade in set’ which to me the condition of the trade in set is as good as new at a reasonable price.

general view is that any dealer would always be the most expensive option. since tyres are not their business, you could presume this would be the case here as well.

tyres are a very competitive business and if you go to a major tyre shop its likely they will give you a better all-in cost than pml. maybe check out some of the site sponsors.

+1. the tyre shop at PML is not run by themselves as well. it isa tyre company (cant remember the name) that PML has given exclusive to operate
