Tire pressure for R17 RFTs

Hi, recently got my new ride, a 2006 323i. The owner's manual did not come along with the car and the factory sticker for tyre pressures is also missing. So, I am not sure what tyre pressure it should be.

I downloaded a softcopy of the E90 manual but did not find numbers for 323i, just 325i. So, for my current tyres, 225/45R17 RFT all round, it stated 29/200 (front) + 35/240 (rear). Are these good enough or there are other recommended changes?

Thanks.
Bryan

Re: Tire pressure for R17 RFTs

thats good enough. u can lower the reaer pressure to 220 if u do not carry many passengers.

i had my 225/45 pumped 210 all around in the past.

Hi,

Got my E60, 525 last week.

Running on 245/45/17 RFTs. Recommended pressure was 230 (front) and 270 (rear).

Have not tried any other configurations yet.

Cheers!

actually, I downloaded it from this forum. it's under the Community discussions> Singapore motoring life section. Look for the sticky "Official BMW Owner's Manual" (or something like that)

Re: Tire pressure for R17 RFTs

Hi,
my car got this tire pressure lost alert, its says "RSC" and check manual.
As i do not have the manual yet, can someone advise me? and i will try find the file for download.

I went to check the pressure, 240 at rear and 220 at front, but i did not notice any significant lost in pressure.
After i check the pressure, the "alert- lost tire pressure" still there, any steps i shld do to clear the alert??

pls help ..
Thanks :)

Your OBC has been pre-set with the original tyre pressure. If it deviates, the warning will appear.

I was told that whenever I pump air, I need to do a re-set on the computer.

If I recall correctly, press the settings button, select tyres. Then, click set.
