Can i check with you guys that how come some cars screen can be so dark?
I heard that they can pay for a certificate from LTA for the tint.
I dont know how true is that.
Can anyone out there give me more information?

2 weeks ago I was at Vicom Sin Ming. Saw one very fierce white E60 with super dark tint (can't even see the driver) going into the inspection lane. Don't know the outcome, but was just wondering why did the driver bother to try knowing that passing is impossible? MW, was that your car? Please teach me how to pass. PM pls, after that I will PM the rest of the people for you.

Easy, drive into VICOM and before going into inspection lane, tia the tint until left abit hanging out, then go inspection, pass liao, drive out and then liam back the tint. Swee swee.

Tat was not my car. I am a law abiding citizen and will point fingers at Sherman if LTA stops me.

After that your car shd be the super dark windscreen on the road

it's no secret. or rather, an open one.

the owners will tear the tint down for inspection. then after, reapply back at the tint shop.
it's that simple. what MW actually wrote.

so far, the fine on overly dark tint is relatively light. until the law comes in heavier, people will continue to do that.

after all, it's really only a small amount of money n time.
