as tiff said, this button works like any non-turbo Porsche's button and unlike the M5/6. It doesn't increase power but it changes the throttle mapping, as well as changing the traction control to stage 2 and stiffening up the suspension if the M3 is equipped with the adaptative dampers.Azrielsc;252592 said:I wonder if the M-button on the E92 M3 works the same way as DS mode on the 335i? Sharpens throttle response etc etc.
shouldn't the mounting points be about the same? It's the same chassis anyway ... though the geometries are tweaked, the mounting points would largely be the same, no?Azrielsc;252624 said:Nope, apparently the suspension on the E92 M3 is different from the E92. Only things that the E92 M3 and the E92 coupes share are the doors and the rear boot, that's all.

Yeah, VW Audi Porsche and BMW all get their electronics from Bosch. It's all the same for all. I think this is Bosch Motronic v7.1 function. Porsche sport exhaust option also has similar behaviour to sport button on the RS4, opening up the exhaust for a non-compliant sound.Welbo;252898 said:The above funtions is exactly the same for the S-button in the RS4. I find the heel toe become much easier with the S button on. In addition to the above, the RS4 sport button also open up the exhuast restriction for better breathing and sound.
