Hi accord, running cost ain't that high as i expected when i first got my ride.
When buying a used car, look out for
1. Gear box (common issues for bmw after a certain years)
2. Alignment of the car, this will determine if the car had met with any major/minor accident in the past
3. After sales workshop are plentiful, so i think this is least concern
After all the determining, as long you likr the car, depreciation is reasonable, everything is ok

Agreed with wt_know.
Test the gear box and steering.
Many of us test drive with really testing the steering and gear box.
When I bought my E60, dealer said no need to go expressway to test, I just turn into PIE, he face black black but I no care.
Try to do some difficult 3 point turns or a few reverse parking.
Look out for any gerking (gear box) and a thin high pitchy sound from the steering assemble when u turning the steering
Also cruise at very low speed for some distance and step hard on the accelerator on the highway for a short distance.
1 more point, keep air-con blower to the lowest so that you can hear abnormal sound, of course OFF radio too.
Check OBC too for more information of the wear and tear.
Maybe some other Bruddler would like to share their opinion/s.

According to my frenz info, those in flood and kana engine, SCRAP YARD already.
However, those that water just high enough to reach inside cabin, difficult to check,
maybe change new floor mat, new leather re-wrap...

Hi!
Not sure if you are keen. But a 523i xl, Oct 07 with only 43K mileage just arrived at PPSL. White with grey interior, very beautiful. One more year of warranty, going at $123.8K. If you are keen, please do drop by asap. Definitely will be sold in a day or two
