swapping wood trim to aluminum trim for pre lci e60

Hi,

Is it a direct swop especially for the door trim as i read somehwere that the door handles need to be changed in order for the aluminum trim to fit. Many thanks.

Me too.... Don't really fancy wood trimmings. I heard can do stickers but would prefer to swop the whole piece.

Just buy from Eng Soon lor. Make sure u get the right ones for either LCI or pre-LCI.

I can recommend you guys go Johnson to do 3M sticking either in brush aluminium or carbon or whatever.

However, you need to dismantle the parts first. From what I know, Robson and SWC can do it.

Price wise, got to check personally.

Hi i have actually got it done already. All the parts fits well but for the four door handles, please check for broken clip if you get used. For mine one broke but everything still fits well. However if you press on it, it will move slightly. The strange part is the main aircon panel, the largest piece. I got the correct part number for the clip behind the trim but it will not fit. The part guy at pml also dun know why coz according to their comp, it should. In the end, the mech recommend using some random clip from e46( previous gen 3 series) clip n it fits nicely. Very strange but everything went well.

Decaf sounds like gonna mod fierce fierce haha. The main 8/9pcs of wood trim can wrap with stickers if u want, is cheaper but if u wanna change the power switch n stuff is better u go spray all together. Spray paint shop should know how to do. J'S magic Leslie should be able to give u good quotes, saw it at J'S n SWC before. =)) can try spray piano black for trims. SWC mike can dismantle n spray all at his place too

Haha! Bo pian, wanted to get the E60 3 yes ago, put everything on hold wen I was posted overseas so now playing catchup! Yeah like the idea of spraying piano black, thanks for the advice!

I bought from overseas used n install locall until the last part which i go pml.
