hello to all the sifus......
need some feedback from ppl who've gone the s/c route, as it seems a lot of you are running s/c kits.
we all know the +ve benefits of s/c. more hp/torque, a nice whining sound that scares little kids and make them cry.
but i'm wondering on the -ve points that comes outta s/c. i know the wear and tear on the engine is increased, but is it until a point where the car loses reliability or cannot go for more than a few months before having to check back into the car hospital?
do things like snapping of belts and exploding alternators happen on a regular basis? what are the usual faults/problems that i can expect? extra maintentance involved?
my ride has a M50, stroked to 3.2l. has anyone s/c a stroked engine and ran it relatively problem free? unfortunately this is my only ride, so i cannot have it going to the hospital often. i'm not looking for big powah, 6.5 psi is more than enough for me. :woowooo:
as i'm running on OBD1, and recomendations for a piggyback to get the ignition and fuel maps on an optimum level? to compensate for the 3.2l and s/c. OBIT seems a popular choice?
many many thanks in advance.
