Super Dynamics Extractor??

Was offered by Fong Kim to install Super Dynamics Extractor which Ricky claimed that it will improve response and bhp (E46 320) but at nearly half of the cost of Hiop Extractor.

Any fellow forumers have done that and any feedback if it is really good?

Re: Super Dynamics Extractor??

Don't know about the quality of Super Dynamics, but Hi-op ones are excellent!
I too, would like to find out about super dynamics.
The labour alone for installing extractors are quite a bit of work. Wouldn't want to do it twice.

Maybe you can share some experience on Hi-op?

According to Fong Kim, they claimed that the effect is similar except that Hi-op is branded and therefore more pricy....

Re: Super Dynamics Extractor??

Unfortunately, I don't have Hi-op in my ride, but i have seen and sat on cars that do and have actually seen the quality of Hi-op! SOme even have the M3 Rasp...(sound).

As for responsiveness and power gain, i'm not in the position to comment on it - cause I don't have.

Re: Super Dynamics Extractor??

Mr Ice, i just called Ricky, was quoted about $1K for the headers. Now checking for stocks.

Yup, Ricky is not sure when stocks can come. Why not we pool our orders and negotiate for gp?

Re: Super Dynamics Extractor??

can count me in. I am game

Re: Super Dynamics Extractor??

i don know whether superdynamic extractor is the same as what i got the last time as a sample but when u put it against the real stuff, u can definitely feel the difference in weight.

The hi-op is definitely more tough and uses a better grade of stainless steel and was told that the imitation ones will crack at the welding portion.

For those Fied car, try to stay away from it.

I got it for my previous car and the installation alone takes 8 full hour so taking it in and out is definitely nightmare...

Has anyone seen and got the Super Dynamics ones? Not sure if the quality of material used is inferior?

Spoken to Ricky again, he is not very confident of installation work on beemer as he is afraid that the O2 sensors if not properly placed will trigger warning lights to turn on.....

Re: Super Dynamics Extractor??

For Super Dynamic i m quite comfortable with it. Use to have it in my Civic not my E46 320, I know the two cars cannot be compared but for the made of extractor from SD, the join, the blend and the weldding part is good. So i believe their stardand is there.

Re: Super Dynamics Extractor??

Yendor - thanks, but it seems that the entry barrier of install is quite high huh. Imagine you get problems, gonna have to strip it again...

But 8 hours kinda... siong right? Some workshops could already open up the whole crankcase, and my previous ride had a whole auto gearbox replaced in 6 hrs...

Hi Guys ,
Am using Hiop Header on my 6potter..can feel improvement in mid and high.low would be a bit slaggish...did nt do any dyno so can't really confirm ...for installation did't take me 8 hours ..think the mech have to move the steering rack aside to fit the header on ...that about all it take..installation should be ard 250-300 not too sure as i purchase the header from the shop and got it install by them...

Hi ST.Phase,

Thanks for the information. What is your defination of mid and high? Mid would mean 3K rpm and above?

What about the noise level? Assume is about the same as stock header?

Thanks again!

Re: Super Dynamics Extractor??

yup 3k onward...noise i would say it slightly higher pitch..can't really tell cos me also have gurppem filter ...both roar at the same time !!!
