Sunroof Rattling

Hi all,

Dont know if any of you guys have ever experienced this before. My sunroof is giving off this metal rattling/glass knocking onto something sound whenever my vehicle vibrates ie. driving over uneven roads. It only happens when the sunroof is fully closed. When I try to open it the noise mysteriously disappears. I can hear the same sound whenever i close the driver's door hard enough. Something loose?

Please advise!

It is possible the lining has worn out. I get some rattling as you described on my e60 too but never found out what it was

i have that too, i suspect could be the rubber lining.. hmmmm

Any idea whats the damage to change the lining?
