yar. strut bars per se wont reduce car roll. what they do is tie the top of the strut towers together so they wont move individually in heavy cornering, preserving the tyre camber and helping transfer load.
if you want to reduce roll, then u need to get stiffer ARBs, shocks/ springs.
btw 800/ piece for a strut bar is exorbitant. even my stock volvo one from SM only cost about $120.
I'm not looking to get race-standard struts, just wanna fix the roll a little better than it is now... a less-than-100-ringgit front strut did wonders for my previous ride, a Japanese hatchback hehe!
