all e46 6 cylinder strut braces are the same. you can buy the csl one if you fancy it.

Thanks for all your input. CSL one not necessary lah... cost almost my cab! HAHA....

If you want to improve handling of the car, spend your money on the anti-roll bar/sway bar rather than strut bar.

Cheers!

the CSL one is one of the cheapest i can find actually. I bought it at $440 some time back. It looks good, is light, and lets you access the top shock mount if you have adjustable dampers.

Cheers

Hi, the front strut brace will make the initial turn in sharper ( using ACS) It is actually noticeable as our cabs are less ridgid. For saloons it is probably less noticeable. Worth doing it. Also get the anti-roll bars.
Cheers

I've to agree with Welbo, anti-roll bars/sways should go in 1st or suspension replacement. Strut bars should go in last.

Cheers! :wavey:

Ok bros, can anyone point me to where I can get the anti roll bars and CSL strut bar?

Would the anti roll bars of the M3 fit a 3 series cab? It should be larger in diameter right?

Okay, these are the sizes that I managed to find online:

Brand Front Rear
UUC Sway Barbarian 25.4mm 23.8mm
Racing Dynamics 26.98mm 22.225mm
Dinan 22.225mm 22.225mm
H&R 27mm 21mm
ACS 27mm 21mm
Eibach 31mm 26mm

Okay, i'm missing M3 and Hamann sway bar sizes...

Can't help much on where to buy and how much cuz I was given ACS sway bars by a member. Good luck on your search!

Cheerio!

Champwhite, u experience any streaking sound inside the cabin when u r driving? After all these strut bar, anti-roll bar etc.... Ur will starts to experience these 'sound'. If u r not using ur car for tracking. Comfort n better handeling is wat u want, then i suggest is adjustable dampers n shock will b enough! ARB is the next if u want to corner at a speed of 100-120km/h :)

Thanks 4 the feedback Alvin. Currently, i am very flustered with creaking at the driver's door with the roof up over rough surfaces. Any remedy for this? I would hate to bring it to PML, let them unscrew this and that and can't fix the problem. Besides that, no other creaking except when going up car park ramps with the roof up.

So if the car is stiffen with the ARB, shocks and strut bar, this magnifies the noise? Geesh... I bought a good conti so that I won't be so frus with this particular issue - my rex, evo8, 350z all sounded like tin cans...

There are no solution for 'tis'. Brg it back to PML, they will lubricate the joints to minimise the irritating sound tats all! Yes the sound in magnify when ARB, strut bar n shocks r installed. Well it depends u 1 handeling or comfort. As for me i m use to the sound(the most i switch on my stero louder, keke). Wat u mean by ur Rex, ev0 n 350z sound like tin cans? U mean the exhaust? Cos tis type of 'sound' only happen in cabriolet n nt sedan or coupe9i believe).

I remembered when I got my ARBs, the workshop had to slap on tons of grease at the brackets holding the ARBs cuz the noise problem usually comes from there! But since then, never had any sounds from below my car! *touch wood* :wavey:

wow this is nice!!!!

but reli exp.. dat abt sg$830

It is extremely nice but the only concerns i have are:

1. price
2. who's gonna see that??
3. Lamination may turn yellow due to heat of the engine

So anyone has a M/CSL strut to sell me?
