hi, just now, when i was driving, i came to a stop, and when i wanna move off, i step on the gas pedal as usual, but there was no respone. the respone only come abt 2 or 3 sec later. why is there a delay?? seems like at that point of time, there was either no air or fuel going into the combustion chamber. is there something wrong or izzit normal?? a few hours before that, my mechanic took out my K&N filter to wash as it was dirty. i did saw him blow dry and oil the filter before installing it back. can somebody tell me whats going on please :(

get the mechanic to remove and install the filter again, same time check if it is fully dried. If everything ok, do a diagnostic test and check for faults.

if the filter is not fully dried, will it dry up itself???

blow dry K&N filter? your K&N filter will be doomed if it is blown dry with high pressure air jet. you should have the filter check!

High pressure drying may damage the fibers in your K&N.

According to the official cleaning kit, always let your k&n filter drip dry. i.e let it dry by itself.

oh no, yup, he did use does pressurise air jet to dry it. guess i might as well change to a new one. does BVO have K&N filter for valvetronic??
and when u say drip dry, wouldnt it take a very long time for the filter to get dry b4 installing it back??

oki, went to BVO and recitfy the problem liao, hee... its actually cause by the filter not being place back probably. ah wee also check the condition of the filter and he said its alright. so everything is back to normal now. thanks for all the advise given

actually most mechanics outside blow dry the knn filter, they can't drip dry for you overnight. accordingly, if blown dry from a distance, they claim it won't damage the fibres Most of them have been blow drying the filters since inception.
