Steering Wheel Sound

My E60 steering wheel has started to make a brushing sound when turning. Not quite sure how to describe it but it is like there is a brush or paper in the steering wheel and it makes "pssshhh" sounds when turning.

I can still drive ok and will probably have to get this checked out. I'm just wondering if any of you have had this before and what can it be? Steering fluid low? Hopefully it can wait a few days more before I can bring it down to be checked.

Re: Steering Wheel Sound

steering fault is dangerous bro.
I suggest give our in house Doc. Rodney of R2D a ring, 96265925 and seek his advice.

Re: Steering Wheel Sound

Ya Bro. I know. So far the drive seems ok. I'm just wondering what this could be? Hope it doesn't cost too much $$. Arsenal very good at helping me lose $$ already

Anyway, I'll see if I can try to go down during lunch.

Re: Steering Wheel Sound

Ok.
Just went down R2D to check. Nothing serious. Just that the cover in front of the steering wheel was loose. Just push it back and everything is ok.

Daryl, if you're reading this, thanks for your help.
