Hello sifus,
Just took over a 07 e60 525 and encountered an issue just last week regarding active steering.
I was going down the carpark slope in city square mall and as I go over a hump, the active steering warning light came up and my steering wheel was jammed. Couldn't steer left or right. Engine was still running and still able to go forward. I decided to come to a complete stop and switch off my engine and pull out my key then restart my engine again, fortunately the issue was resolved.
Any kind soul can advise what was the problem and how to avoid it?
Just to be more detailed I installed bmw powerbox, could that be a part of reason of it? Thanks in advance.
