I remember reading in an article somewhere about a spy camera which you buy and affix in your car. This camera allows you to tape or film any activities happening around your car and as such, allows you to identify any vandals who do your car in!

Need to find out if there are any bros out there who is aware of such a gadget and where I can get it as well as how much it would cost to get one. I would like to have one installed in my car.

Think that it's about time we let these vandals have a taste of what the law is about!!! :shoot: :shoot: :shoot:

I was thinking if you fix a spy cam, gotta think where are you gonna fix it ? and if you do fix it, how do you tap power from the car since they don't have a cigarette lighter plug. How about recording medium ? VCR in the boot ?

I know there are spy cams in sim lim square that is as cheap as $45. But I don't know if its practical to fix in the car unless they have 1 thats made for cars...

The article that I read was actually about spy cams made for cars. Just can't exactly remember on which medium that I've read it from :verysad: . Wondering if any of you guys have actually come across it...

Yup there is such product. A camera wif a wide angle pointing at 1 direction only.Is like a blackbox in an airplane, cost a few hundreds(i tink) .Sometime is used as an evidence when encountered an accident. Have not have the chance to knoe where to get it!

You would need to get a spy cam which has low light recording capabilities.... if not cannot see anything at night also... can also double as a camera to take videos of our rounding sessions... hahaha

The product that you are probably talking about is called Cybereye Mobile Cam. It is manufactured in Korea and is marketed by this company called Prestige Security. It is marketed at around $599 per set. They can be reached at tel. 64841588 or at www.prestige-sg.com

Hope this helps.

I agree cos the footwell area at the front passenger seat can be quite dark especially at night...

After reading on the thread about scratches, I noticed that a number of bros out there faced the same issue as I did. :verysad:

Just wondering if it would be worth the while to spend $599 on the spy cam...that is, will the pix be clear enough to identify the vandal? I really don't want to spend a bomb on an equipment only for it not to work. :errr:

Really sad that there are people out there who has this sick mentality of targetting cars as a way of saying: I've just done your car and what are you going to do about it!!!

There was a discussion on this before but to put thing in pespective, u have to know that the camera is being placed in the car. although u can take the person that comes close to it, u will prob not be able to take him/her in action unless it's done on the bonnet or the rear.

Then even u managed to get the face, and the person in action ( think of the camera angle) the most u can do is to pusue a civil action against him cos police will not take up the case....

And the limitation to the camera is tat it can only store 32 photo, triggered by a motion sensor. For area where there is high pedestrian movement, the 1st photo will be overwritten by the number 33 shots.....
