it doesnt add power..it shortens the throttle travel...if ur car has a nice free flow exhaust system it makes throttle control much easier.
if u r not sensitive...u will end up jerking the car a lot...n i guess thats why people r selling....depends on ur driving style too.

Not really, most of them selling bcos they just spent a hell more for ECU Serial programming!!
After reflashed, the car is as responsive on the throttle as having the sprint booster.
Tat's why they're trying to recover back some mod funds by selling away the booster.

Yup. ECU reflash can do virtual sprint booster, making this device redundant...

ECU reflash basically is a process by which the parameters of your ECU, like AFR, ignition timing, throttle opening...etc are modified via an interface (usually a software installed on a laptop) by a tuner.
Cars from the factory are conservatively tuned to strike a balance of power, fuel consumption, emissions...etc. A tuner can retune your car to produce more power, more torque at the expense of fuel consumption, emissions...
So one of the parameters that can be tuned, IF you car has an electronic throttle, ie no physical cable connecting your accelerator pedal to your throttle, is what the sprint booster does. You can tune the 1st cm of travel of your accelerator to transfer 90% throttle if you want, much like what the aprint booster does.

According to your profile, you're driving an E36. E36's do not have e-throttles as far as I know.
If your car is an E36, it will not work.
Actually acceleration is the same. It just gives you a FEELING of faster acceleration becos when you press a bit of your accelerator, it tells your engine to open your throttle a lot. Same effect can be achieved by you pressing your accelerator a lot suddenly.
There is no actual power or torque increase.
