hi, is the difference traction control? so with sport+, is traction control on or off?

and what is the button with the car skidding for? is it to turn on or turn off TC?

thanks.

Re: sport+ and sport in F10

in the old days we used to say RTFM, which means read the £ucking manual. But on compassionate grounds we give the benefit of doubt to those who have misplaced the book, but today the manual is built into your iDrive.

Use it.

Sport / Sport+ both have traction control on. button with car skidding is press when your car skidding.

It's when you want to do this:

i guess i have to rephrase. sorry for the simplified question. my question is it seems to me that sport+ is just a a combination of sport mode PLUs the dtc off( which is the button that has a car skidding). so the purpose of dtc off is to have maximum forward momentum but restricted stability in accleration and cornering. which means that it is more for snow road or slippery road.

so sport mode actually increased the performance of the car but in sport+, is the performance the same except for the dtc being activated as well. in this case, it is useless coz with sport+, u have same peformance but lesser stability during cornering.

if i am right, if you are being jioed by someone on the road, sport is enuff. sport+ is worse if you drive fast and do a corner.

am i right? sorry for the long post so whats the difference between sport and sport+?

Re: sport+ and sport in F10

In all modes the technical performance of your car remains the same. if it's 184bhp it will be 184bhp even in eco pro. Its not like your car becomes +20bhp in sport+. In sport and sport plus you get enhanced throttle sensitivity and more aggressive gearshift, and yes, sport+ gives an additional dtc off which allows you to slide your car around.

Put your car in sport+ and get on the gas out of the u turn along lornie towards thompson. Make sure the road is clear. Dont say i never warn you: be prepared to countersteer :p

Re: sport+ and sport in F10

yes of course.. i understand. i meant better performance as in more aggreessive gearshift, higher rpm and more throttle semsitivity. i am sure my sprint will also be better with no change in hp.

suddenly i think of another question, if i put my car in eco mode and go on a dyno, will it still shows the same hp as in sport mode as technically the car hp does not change sorry for noob question.

Re: sport+ and sport in F10

technically, should be same bhp/nm ie same power
the bhp/nm "curve" could be slightly different (improved) in sport mode

Re: sport+ and sport in F10

I think it makes more sense to think that running in Sports+ mode (or whatever Super Sports++, MAX SUPER ULTIMATE SPORT+++ setting you call it), simply unleashes the full potential of the car (close to machine limit, with safety margins factored in). Any other mode simply holds it back, including "normal" mode.

Re: sport+ and sport in F10
