Spare Remote key and alarm (E46)

Hi everybody.

1) I've understand that everytime when you use the remote key in the ignition,it will charge the remote automatically right?

But my spare remote key seems to be unchargable.I've tried to use it a few times but still could not use the remote.

I believe the previous owner use only 1 key instead of switching both alternately.

So wat should i do with the spare one?

2) Is the E46 318i comes with an alarm?

there is a red flashing little light on the radio unit ,is that an alarm or wat?

1) you need to go back to PML and change the battery in the remote, to get it to start charging and working again.

2) the flashing light is for fun one. AFAIK, the car does not come with any alarm system, only keyless entry.

Only alarm will u be shouting at that prick doing smth to ur car.
