Spacers

Hi!

Thinking of installing 10 - 15 mm spacers on the rear wheels of my E90 stock 16 in wheels.... to make the stance looks a bit better.

Appreciate any advice from the bros. is this a good idea?

Thanks a lot!

Re: Spacers

Not a bad idea...
I do notice that all those E90 stock rims esp sized 16-17 are quite sunken in.
Perhaps this is the cheapest route to improve the handling and look.
10-12mm should do just fine

Re: Spacers

thanks tripleM

right now, only limited to mods which are not noticeable by the Significant Other :(

Re: Spacers

you could go tune your ecu, change plugs, drop in a sports air filter and change to better tires as well...won't be noticeable.

neither will headers, cams, port and polish and removal of cat converters... well, relatively speaking

Re: Spacers

I had 15mm on my rears once along with 19' rims. Look awesome.

But having said that, my car became a 2 seater after that; unless you want to give your tyres a good old shaving. Since then, i had removed it and sold it away. But on stock rims especially 16-17", no factor.

What kind of spacers are you getting? I feeling like adding spacers back to my rear...

Re: Spacers

My 318Ci's rear 17 x 8 BMW style 50 rims are also set too far in.

What is the ideal spacer if I am running 225/45/17? Are there any potential problems with adding spacers?

Lastly, where I can buy good quality spacers in Singapore?

Thanks for all feedback.

$300 for a pair of 10mm spacers are a ripped-off. The most branded ones like Eibach,H&R and Rogue Enginering cost 250 bux tops!

Re: Spacers

had eibach spacers 12mm installed for 250. does not look prominant.

they had to provide new screws becos oem ones not long enough..there goes the nut with the oem lock.

ah hoe told me to expect vibration an advised me not to drive at high speeed......duh..immediately i felt like removing them wat the heck of course i must drive at high speed especially up north

its there any way round this ..i am on acs type iv replicas.

Re: Spacers

Then drive carefully...

Anyway,
Ur ride is E60 rite?
AFAIK, the spacers he got for you was for E46 so slighlty different center bore diameter and had to be modified slightly for E60 application. I guess that's why he told you not to try too much of a high speed run.
