Spacers

My front wheels on 225 / 40 / 17" always scrap the fenders when doing a almost full turn. Its an E36

Is putting spacers a solution, how do I know what thickiness to go for or just drive to workshop and ask?

Thanks

Re: Spacers

Adding spacers will worsen the scrapping. You need to check if the offset of your wheels is too aggressive for your ride.

Oh no... thanks for warning, how do I know the offset of my rims? is it written on the rims?

Re: Spacers

What rims are those? OEM or aftermarket? Got pictures?

Possible, but that might not be due to offset. Tyre, camber all play a part.

Assuming it is OEM, this is style 89, fits e36, 225/45R17 stock specs on Bridgestone or Michelin. You are running 40 aspect ratio, but should still be okay.

Go to your tyre shop and ask them to check the source of rubbing. I suspect it is the tyres, not the wheels. I have seen a Yoko rubs, but a CSC3 replacement (same specs) no rub.

Re: Spacers

Assuming its the Tyres rubbing, what can I do to solve it without changing Tyres? They are pretty new ones

Thanks Kentonna
