Petrol prices went down by 4 cents, again. Now that's something new.

From Channel News Asia:

Pump prices down again
Posted: 17 July 2008 1453 hrs

SINGAPORE - Pump prices at service stations across Singapore have been adjusted downwards for both petrol and diesel.

The prices for all grades of petrol are down another four cents, with top-end 98 unleaded selling at S$2.28, while the cheapest is unleaded 92 which is tagged at $2.17.

The move by Shell, SPC, Esso-Mobil and Caltex comes a week after the fuel companies made a similar 4-cent price cut, the first after 13 consecutive price rises earlier.

While diesel was unchanged during last week's pump price adjustments, this time the cuts included a 2-cent reduction for diesel. This brings the price down to S$2.013, which is still much higher than in the past.

The price of crude oil, which petrol and diesel are derived from, dropped four dollars in trading on Wednesday after staging its biggest fall in 17 years a day earlier. - CNA/sf

people living in germany moving to pakistan don't complain...

Re: Something new, again - Petrol price drop

If you really concern about the erp and petrol, always plan your route and then calculate your cost of going out lor.. also think about when you open 1 bottle of martell, it's $138 and finish in 1 hour. the full tank $138 can last you a week or travel about 500Km

why not...it all adds up...

Re: Something new, again - Petrol price drop

Don't worry - I think petrol prices will continue to come down in the next month or so at least ... maybe go back to $1.80 per litre for 95RON. The margin on gasoline at the moment for refiners is zero (it's about US$122 per barrel and same as oil price) as there is oversupply in Asia.
