Someone stole my daughter's iphone

So she playing at the playground at AMK while the aunties were talking at the Mcdonalds - she dropped her phone and this mofo took off with it.

She told me 5 minutes later and I manage to get a lock on its position 15 minutes - in block 512 Hougang Ave 10.

That mofo must have given up trying to unlock and turned it off.

Now the next time he turn it on .... Will be be fast enough to be there on time and get him ?

Called the police - they asked me for the unit number else they will not go over. Too much work they said.

Any other ideas appreciated ......

Re: Someone stole my daughter's iphone

Wow, that person is really daring to take the phone so openly like that.

I think you can report the serial number of the stolen phone to police and those apple resellers so that if it comes in they will be alerted if it is a stolen phone.
(happened to my friend's laptop when some dude try to get repairs done at the apple store.)

Only thing now is you probably have to wait for the phone to come back online if you are using the find my iphone app, or search through ebay.com.sg

All the best! Hope your daughter gets her iphone back!

Re: Someone stole my daughter's iphone

unless he is out in the open using the phone, if not hard to pin point. feel your pain dude

Re: Someone stole my daughter's iphone

Wonder if the telcos will do IMEI tracking for you if you produce a police report. They should.

Anyway, there is a high chance the phone has already been restored. Once that's done the phone is 'gone'

Re: Someone stole my daughter's iphone

Went to the police post last night ....... They did not want to file the police report because my daughter is not with me. Had to make another trip now ......

Re: Someone stole my daughter's iphone

Too much police work for a commoner. However, if it was a person with another status?

Re: Someone stole my daughter's iphone

Some mofo ran off with my half eaten Big Mac.

he ran into changi airport, could be in any terminal now....

police should help help me search whole place as I m still hungry ...

Re: Someone stole my daughter's iphone

Big Mac, especially half eaten ones, cannot and should not be compared to iPhones la. RBB is entitled to feel cheesed off somewhat for the loss of his daughter's phone, IMHO.

Re: Someone stole my daughter's iphone

Why? My Big Mac cost money also wat...

anyway of cos RBB should be cheesed off. I would too, anyone would.

point is...u expect police to do house to house search without a unit number? If RBB logs in n now finds that the mofo has run to Bedok, should police quickly also search there?

Re: Someone stole my daughter's iphone

It's the way they put it - too much work vs cannot do anything......

They just told me they have a "filter" after I gave them the imei and serial number whatever that means.

Re: Someone stole my daughter's iphone

I am no fan of our SPF mind u...n I hope tat mofo gets gang raped by baboons.

But some of the replies.....*facepalm*

Re: Someone stole my daughter's iphone

fully agree. And sad to say I rather the uniform folks prioritize their work. Because someday I rather they catch a murderer then a petty thief.

lastly, just because they wear a badge doesn't mean they owe ALL Singaporeans a living.

I depend on them and respect them because at least today I can drive my BMW out happily without fear. Not in other countries.

can we be thankful more?

Re: Someone stole my daughter's iphone

Rbb, your estate has a number of break in cases recently.
SPF is prob busy digging out those SA burglars.
Even if they are willing to help, it will be their least priorities.
Having said that, I hope your daughter is feeling much better now.

Re: Someone stole my daughter's iphone

She felt better till I told her to use the antique Nokia from now onwards ......
