Someone hit my rear!!!

This uncle slammed into the back of my car 2 secs after I stopped at the red lights!!! His reason was he was coughing and he was reaching for some tissue paper!!!!

The worse thing is that pml said my bumper has no stock and must wait about two weeks!!! Now I gotta drive my baby around with a broken bumper and number plate. Sighhhhh!!!!

Then check this out: when I asked the driver who hit me if he wanted to pay for the repairs out of his pocket or claim from his insurance company...he asked me how much the repair cost will be. I told him and he argued that he only noticed that the number plate was damaged and not my bumper!!! Arrgggg!!! Why are there people like this in this world!!! I hope pml will get my car back to shape...I'm so paranoid about future defects that can't be traced now...

just go and claim his insurance.... hope you have taken pictures at the scene, may come in handy if he goes back on his words....

don't waste time with that driver...claim the bugger, go PML...they can settle the paperwork n repair for u.

I have gone to pml, they say don't need to go idac or police. They said it's a very clear cut case. The driver hit me straight on at the rear. Right smack in the middle.

omg.... sad to hear that. Look on the bright side, as long you are Ok, is still the most impt.


Make sure you get PML to do a report for insurance claim because if you don't get that done, insurance payable may be made difficult.

is it legal to 'upgrade' to mtech from oem bumper

no need to argue with such ppl. just take pics and his number and go straight to ur insurance company.

change to mtech rear bumper. hehe

saw some posts of guys who made use of the opportunity to switch to mtech. not sure if anything extra needsto be done in the claim procedure.

I think it's possible but not through pml. Those guys probably went to some other bodyshops to have their repairs done.

I just hope this doesn't affect my car's future resale value man...Although I can claim for a new bumper but the effects of future monetary lost could be more than just that bumper.

Also, many years back I drove a CRV. A car also slammed into the rear of my car. Kah Motors changed the bumper but after a few weeks, I kept smelling petrol from within the cabin. Sent it back and they discovered that the oil tank was leaking due to a tiny crack!! I hope pml will do a full thorough check this time round man...so freaking paranoid now!!!

take it easy bro. ur ride is so new. within the warranty period just bring it back for fixes if u identify anything. no1 wants a returning customer to claim parts and repairs during warranty. simply not good for business.

It's a grey area when comes to insurance claim.

If claim is by PML, what you damage is what you get
But some workshop who does claims may be able to do the switch must have lobang la. Nowadays workshops are being monitored closely in terms of claims.

from what i know...u can get mtech from pml as well...they will issue insurance claim for ur oem bumper...then u pay the difference between oem and mtech
