Sold E39, bought E60

Handed over my E39 to the new owner at LTA yesterday and collected my E60 today at PPSL. As PPSL could only offer me paper plus body plus paper discount of 6%, I ventured into SGcarMart.

My E39 buyer forgot to bring his Insurance certificate but the kind ladies at LTA provided a no. that the Insurance co could fax thru. Good friendly service and minimal waiting time too for private ownership transfers.

Sales Rep Dawn at PPSL was most attentive in her service and deserves mention. And thanks to the many threads on spare tyre issue, I requested PPSL to arrange for me an 'original' space saver wheel with a brand new slim fit tyre and moulding resting on top of it to house the jack. Looking at it, I feel its good value at 500+ and the peace of mind is comforting especially on the NSHW. After all the car came fitted with normal tyres and no longer on the rft's that were originally fitted.

The e60 has all the attendant creaks of a 30month old car and I guess, I'll have to book her in for a door seal change soon before the warranty runs out. I gather some of our bros are using the ows bodyflex gel spray.

Hmm.......wonder what I should do next in terms of dressing her up. Any ideas?

Ghaz, you have a good pair of eyes for all things Alpina but unfortunately my e60 is still stock standard and to the rest of the bros, thanx for all your input.

Hi Mark,

Just curious, how much you sold your E39 for? I'm thinking of buying one that is registered in 03 like yours.

Thanks.
