SOKA: Totally Socially Irresponsible

Who is the most senior officer of SOKA and how can I contact him or her?

SOKA members always park their cars along the road sides of the SHELL petrol station (opposite Keppel Club) obstructing cars entering the petrol station. Often, they park at both sides of the entrance.

SHELL Petrol station staff also said they have reminded them not to park but these SOKA members play cat-and-mouse with them.

I left several messages in their (SOKA) CONTACT US page at the website but nobody bothers to respond.


It looks like SOKA and their Management are really socially irresponsible.....whether you are near God or next to God... if your members' car causes an accident... or worse a death.... are you going to ask God to forgive you too?

I would like to contact the top officer of SOKA. Anybody knows how?

Just contact Traffic Police, they will response. I reported to TP on cars parked along roadside of a reputable primary school obstructing U-turning, But the problem started again, so must summon them until they scared. Some roads outside Churches also like that.

But I cant be calling TP every weekend. As a reputable organisation like SOKA, they have to practice Social Responsibility.

Why don't you just write in to TP, LTA, URA and whichever department you feel should receive your complaint? Works faster than writing to SOKA right? for added and quick effect, cc your letter to Ministry of Home Affairs as well. My 'experience' in cc-ing to Ministries is that it works.... :)

SOKA will just write back saying your feedback is important and they will look into it and seek your kind understanding and the next 10yrs you will still see them parking anyhow...

Ya what I mean is write, don't call. Write again to ask what action has been taken, if nothing, ask why nothing.

I will tell you nothing will be done. Why? Simple. Just like Muslims going to mosque every Friday and suka suka park anywhere, the authorities will treat this as racial-religious harmony matter. Not a single TP or LTA enforcement guy will dare issue a ticket la.

I suggest you turn the other way and suck thumb. I have tried sucking thumb... taste not bad...:)

If i were you, i would just walk in to their centre and tell their staff. BTW, how do you know that those cars belong to the SOKA?

I agree with you. There's a Mosque and Chinese Temple along the main road where I live and residents around my area have to live with the terrble and inconsiderate parking whenever there's something going on. Have called TP in the early days but was told such matters are now taken care of by LTA. I called LTA and was told permission have been granted for such "illegal" parkings on such occassions. I questioned LTA on the the double standard on traffice law enforcement and they couldn't reply me. WTF??

i think its just give n take.
its not just 1 particular association at "fault" here.
there are so many churches, chinese temples, mosques etc that have their neighbouring streets flooded with illegally parked cars.
i think the authorities normally close one eye to it so nothing much u can do abt it.
ultimately its up to these organisations to advise their own followers and provide a suitable alternative to accomodate them. or u can try putting a multitude of pots n plants, rubbish bins etc to stop them from parking there, thats what i see at those private housing that are fed up with these situations....

or you can burn Hell money and joss sticks next to their cars. They cannot scold u. Religious tolerance...

If I put hell money on their windscreen wiper...... is this mischief? No diff from putting name cards on the windscreen right?

That may amount to an office under the Sedition Act cos religious articles are being used.

Burn the money next to their cars better lah. They cannot curse you cos then they would be guilty of Sedition themselves.., win-win
