So many camera!

This few days i notice alot of cameras up everywhere, traffic lights, lamp post etc... Nv seen it b4, it comes with a "n" shape holder. Anyone knws the purpose?

There is this set as welll, on the overhead bridge outside river view hotel on havelock road. 4 cameras, each for each of the 4 lanes pointing towards the direction of the junction with saiboo street. And 1 more facing the opposite direction that can capture the driver image.
