smoking taillights

i am planning to smoke my taillights on my E60... any idea how much would that cost and where i can do it? do they need to change the cover? or just use the old one and make it darker?

I understand that there cheaper ways using stick on film, would also be keen to know if there are other better ways of smoking the taillights.

I think someone on the forum does tinting of tail lights at quite a reasonable price... can't remember the nick though

spray paint it and then put clear coat...looks super good

Too dark will be illegal,
Subtle smoke will likely be Ok...
