actually seriously I cant understand why someone would want to do that.... just curious... but i guess its people's choice and they happy can already..
I just feel that if I were an "M" owner, I would feel "cheated" knowing someone paid half of what I did but could get it to look like a half million bux.. of course engine and performance is different, but we dont go roaring down every street to awaken the V10.. so honestly, most people would never know... even I struggle to spot the real from the fake!
somehow, it makes me feel the sancity, exclusivity and virtuosity of the "M" cars will be compromised.
I wouldnt pay half a million bux to buy a machine that is so easily "reproducable"...

Honestly I don't see anything wrong with doing a conversion. We all do appreciate giving our rides a sporty image right? It could be abudget restrain from getting the real thing but hey, I'm happy with the ride with just the looks.... To each his own tio boh?
As for the feeling that a genuine owner has of feeling cheated, I guess it only applies when you use your car to show off your status? I don't mean it in a insulting way don't get me wrong. But if 1 day I am able to purchase a nice car like a M5, M6 or SL55 I wouldn't give 2 hoots about the car next to me even if its a very very nicely done up "fake". Yea so this is what I personally think of "fakes" on the road lor...

True... I can see your point... i dont think people buy such cars to show off... anyway the M's are meant to be understated...
But if you were the owner and someone comes up to you to ask you if your M5 is real or fake, haha... sounds not too swee tio boh? we are all humans what - the feeling wont be very nice... no doubt one can laugh it off but still it will jog one's emotions a little..

since i have e real mcoy...i wouldnt bother to race...say 1 chiongster car beside..."vroom vroooooom...." let him vroom lor...once green light comes on..let u zhua...even more malu...
while i smile admire at the increasing no. of chio bus orchard road junctions...or izzit my standard drop liao...
normally once ppl see ur badge..they wont try to overtake u...juz guai guai siam....or on e freeway...guai guai siam into inner lane...but not on PIE, ECP lah...bloody singa road hoggers...do it on purpose...

this 1 is fake..spotted it quite long time ago..
btw my friend told me he saw a lamborghini gallardo spyder..the next day he show me a pic of a yellow toyota MRS..
after checking with him,he told me that the MRS has the badge "LAMBORGHINI" on it..i was like "HUH?"
