Mine is facelift mid 03, E46, 320i sedan. Current stock mirror has auto adjust, tilt downwards when reverse, memory, but manual fold.

Was thinking of changing to AC or M3/M5 side mirrors with the above function + auto warm, auto fold features.

However, several workshops (like BVO, Y2K) claimed that my stock side mirror is running on ribbon wire connectors, instead of those 12 pin connectors. These are also fixed on currentl 04 models.

Anyone can advise who has done their side mirrors running on ribbon connectors, and where?

This is my final 2 mod before I call it a day (at least for the next few months).. Ke Ke ke.

Bro you mean the 04 production is 12 pin?

BTW, I'm also think of changing. how much did the shops quote you?

I guess it's sep '03 onwards that all the E46s are with the ribbon wiring.....

Here's the 12pin connector...

And here's how the stock mirrors with ribbon wiring....

I've ordered 4 sets of the replica M3 elect folding mirrors....now just waiting for them to tell me if they can manufacture them with the ribbon mirrors...
