Another episode after our maid saga, here's daddy to the rescue for our young soldiers.....yeh, go play angrybirds with your ipad while daddy carries your fullpack.
Another freaking disgrace to the armed forces.

STOMP - Singapore Seen - Getting soft: First it was maid, now dad carries backpack for NS guy

Re: Serving the Nation - With Dad in tow

I think backpack very heavy for our NSF boys. I suggest giving them trolley bag, like those used by Singapore Girls. Good for health, MW say one.

Re: Serving the Nation - With Dad in tow

Stupid dad overpampering his son....in case of real war, this young useless bump will shit in his pant calling for his dad...

Re: Serving the Nation - With Dad in tow

That's the sad truth. Since child care, parents carry bag for their child.

When the child grown up to be NSF, the same parents also need to carry their full pack loh.

Re: Serving the Nation - With Dad in tow

The father volunteered for a second NS cycle.

Re: Serving the Nation - With Dad in tow

either that or the son is on excuse for heavy load.................

cheers

Re: Serving the Nation - With Dad in tow

How come the bag is so big nowadays? Even if you strapped an SBO to the old, smaller full pack, it won't be that... tall

The pixelised No. 4 looks gay. Everything about the SAF is soft!

Re: Serving the Nation - With Dad in tow

Nowadays some kids are so fortunate..

During my NS time, I have to pay for my own motorbike.. later got driving licence then changed to Datsun 100A, all also paid by myself.

Re: Serving the Nation - With Dad in tow

Ya man, times have really changed. Thanks to the government, we have improve from 3rd world to 1st world country. We must really appreciate what the 1st and 2nd generation leaders have done for the country. And they don't even get paid in millions.

Last time army boys are so much tougher and mature. It really train the guys to behave and think better.. Now the army are getting more complaint from parents that their kids can't take it... "cannot clear soc nevermind, call my mum to send email to Mindef"
In the end the kids don't have determination on doing anything by themselves..

Pampering kids is ok, but don't spoil them..It will turn them bad too.. Thats what I think.
I still remember those rich kid friends of mine, they do funny things behind parents back.Cause they got no stress in life, they will look for some "excitement " outside...
