Munich Auto or Performance Motor !!!

Re: Servicing

I cannot stop stressing that our BMWs require special care and no other workshops can offer such expert care than PML or MA.

Re: Servicing

Go direct to distributors for parts and pieces and bring them to a reputable workshop for labour. Workshops I always frequent are MBM and 2277 they always welcome me bringing in my own parts and labour is reasonable. i don't believe that only MA or PML knows best that's just someone who has little or no knowledge in maintaining or learning about their car would say or has deep pockets.

I buy my oil from mxtradings buy my own oil filter and spark plugs from distributors, airfilter is a k&n so self clean at home go to ikan bilis ws and let them do and watch them closely as to how much oil they fill i.e. E60 523i only needs 6.5L. Most of the time the workshops have guys who are ex pml workers so no issues there. Plus BMWs are not that complicated if you do your research if not most ws also have the OBD scanners to diagnose any issues. I'll never go back to PML or MA as long as the car is out of warranty as theres nothing outside workshops can't do cheaper and better and faster and cuz im a cheap arse who likes to tinker with my own car.

Therefore we lanlan, have to service our cars in PML in order to maintain valid warranty for the cars until the end of 3 years? Would anyone consider extending the warranty for an extra 2 years (up to 5 years) for i think $2k?? Was told to extend the warranty to 5 years, at 2.5yr mark....

Re: Servicing

If PML is offering extended warranty i'd take it. BMWs are known for the wear n tear just after the 3-4 year mark. Things to replace include engine gaskets, radiator, aircon coil, evaporator, door lock mech, gearbox solenoids, misc knocking sounds coming from god only knows where but they (PML) will claim its normal. Also various bushings undercarriage, engine and trans mounts the list goes on.

You would pay to listen to 2 more years of "its normal" ?
I would not.

Re: Servicing

Nah i'd pay for the big stuff I listed above, given up on them a long time ago for creaks rattles and bumps. Stuff like radiator leaking
