Hi,

Need some advice from you all.
My E90 320 is due for 1st Servicing 12,000km soon, shoud I go PML to service. Because was told that the servicing provide you with very lousy engine oil and charge at very high price. If i go else where to servicing will the warranty void? Any good workshop to recommend, and roughly what their charges vs PML charges?

Thanks for all the precious advice. Cheeerss

Re: Servicing in PML or Not

Bro, I did mine at R2D for the 12000km - first servicing for my ride.

Last Saturday, did the 26000km servicing at PML - 2nd servicing. It costs me around $290 (mines a 323i), for oil change + oil filter + labour. No issue with the warranty.

you can bring your own engine oil for PML to change if you want. Labour will be less than 100 bucks shld that be the case. would you consider $290 for servicing of conti car at 26000km expensive? Still cheaper than many "ji poon" car.

Re: Servicing in PML or Not

PML did not question you the 1st servicing including reseting the OBC ?

they wun question if all is well la. If something is wrong with your car you see if they will threaten on the warranty or not. Just something to think about.

Re: Servicing in PML or Not

+1......kekeke.

Of course if you have switched to coilover for example, don't expect PML warranty to cover that too. But the coilover shouldn't have anything to do with the engine break-down right? Which means whichever part of your ride that has been modded, that particular part will no longer covered by the warranty. As for the servicing, I did give the mechanic a buzz before sending my car in.

Cheers.

Re: Servicing in PML or Not

PML charges $55 for oil change labour. Buy Mobil 1, 0W40 at $13.50 * 5litres, filter from Eng Soon at $13, total oil change = $135.50+GST. If PML provide oil and filter, it will cost you $55+
($29*4.25litres)+$20= $198.25+GST. BVO charges $35 for labour.
