Service reset for E36

quite a simple job if you go to any workshop that has the reset tool. otherwise, you might want to check out www.roadfly.org for the BMW forum. very technical stuff there with technical folks into E36s. it is more likely to have E36 in the US, UK, Canada & Australia. here in Spore, maybe the E36 is less than the M3s ???

Actually I agree with the less e36 than M3 statement - last sunday say 3 M3 (the real Mcoys) one of them a cab and 0 e36. :shock:

Actually I do see quite a fair bit of E36 running around but 90% of them are mostly 316,318,320 iA and 4 dr.... I still see quite a few in original cond.... a Good and nice e36 is so hard to come by.....and best still a MANUAL one....

i have been resetting the service indicator of my E30 using the method. i did it because the workshops had wanted to charged a fee for resetting the indicator (kind of ridiculous to me).

but i have forgotten about the two pin positions to be connector using a jumper wire. you should fused the jumper wire to prevent any serious short circuit. try looking for the procedures at www.bmwe30.net

i dont think there are that many M3s here. maybe i haven't seen them.

Does anyone here knows how to perform the service reset for E36 using a piece of wire? I read about pin 7 and ground.... just hope to verify with someone who has done it before...many thanks..cheers

I do my service @ Shell upp Bt Timah, reset is inclusive.
