Seat belt warning sign---

Today while I was driving , the seat belt warning sign appeared at the speedometer area.

I was buckled up and my passenger seat was empty.

Looking around, was frightened for a moment till I saw my black slim bag on the front passenger seat and my seat was black as well. So my bag color blended very well with my seat.

So what is the minimum weight to trigger the seat belt warning sign?

4kg?

Or is my notebook in my bag that heavy?

Seriously ya ... My bag's weight triggered the seat belt warning ...

But what's the min weight to trigger off the pressure sensor on the seat for seat belt sign to turn it on?

Anyone knows ?

What if you could code it to a certain kg, so if you eat too much it will warn you all the way home.

No need diet, just my bmw seatbelt warning.

The occupancy sensor can be coded to be on or off. Not by weight.

This is because there is a mat sensor at the bottom of the seat itself (if you remove the leather and sponge etc you can see it) - So if someone has a heavy (wet) butt and flattens the sponge etc through years of heavy use then it's easier to trigger the sensor.
