running cost

hi all

not sure if this has been asked before so please bear with me

im thinking of upgrading to a 08 520/3i. but i have no idea what kind of maintenance it will be like. eg. the intervals of each servicing, cost at each servicing etc. can anyone share ?

will it be a better choice to a lexus is250 or a audi a6?

Please stop reading if u can't accept an honest opinion.

BMW is bought because it is THE ultimate driving machine. It meant to be hard for sheer driving pleasure.

If u buy BMW because of it's badge, please move on.

The maintenance cost might be higher because it needs more TLC.

I tried to poll but options r not available bcos...
- Lexus, am not into it
- Audi, model not inside
- BMW, 5-series too big for my liking.

TLC = Hint hint is how u should treat a xmm or a Miss.

Just be prepared to pay $$$.

If you are just a badgewore 520i for you.

If you are looking for sheer driving pleasure 525i/530i for you.

IMO 523i is neither here nor there. Same road tax and maintenance cost as 525i but much lower power output.

Btw i voted for is250, dont flame me can.

I like driving so the choice is obvious. BMW > Audi > Lexus.

Erm why are the 5er and A6 up against...an IS250??? Shouldn't it be the GS300 for a proper comparison?
