Run-Flat Tyre: Loud? Higher FC?

Considering that run-flat tyres are heavier, would FC be significantly higher?

Also, as RF rubber are harder, would tyre noise be much louder?

Drove latest 1 and 3er's with 18" runflats. Surprisingly refined; even for M sport suspension.

The run flats are heavier and have harder walls, hence the 'roughness' and the higher discomfort factor.

However, it is probably lighter than if you have 4 normal tyres and a spare.

I have swapped to normal tyres and find the difference enormous.... even running on 20", it is more comfortable then the standard 17" run flats.

There is probably no need for RFs in a small island like Singapore where help is accessible 24/7.

If u arent into mods that much, just use em till the next time to change
reason is because the take in value for the tires by tire shops is so crap
and we all know this RFT costs more than regular tires

yes FC is worse with RFT
heavy rotational mass is the killer factor
