Rolling Sound from E39

Hello Bros and fellow E39ers,

I notice rolling kind of sound when I drive on expressways... and I am sure it is not the tires. Could it be the axle is worn out?

Please advise if any E39ers have faced this problem before and how to get it fixed? How is to replace per piece of worn axle?

Most probably the wheel bearing is giving up...jack up the car and rock the wheels up/down & left/right for any free play. Best to hoist up the car and get someone to spin each wheel while you stay inside the car and listen for the whinning/rolling noise. Happy motoring!

Nah, its the tires, E39s don't have inherient problems with wheel bearings. If your tires have covered like 40,000km, its time to replace
