hi,

got careless today, my rims got some nasty scratches when it skip pass a kerb!! Anybody knows any rim touch-up workshop in town? Appreciate your help on this.

SE Tyre in kg ubi is able to grind and even out lip damages, within limits.

As for surface scratches, you might want to enquire what type filler/spray paint used. I believe there are powder coated paints that are better, but must seek more advice from gurus here.

Hi Derek, how much does the shop charge for rim repair? I have always gone to Yew Lip but they are getting so busy you need to book way in advance.

It all depends on how much is the damage of the rim, but so far it reasonable and good job.

For normal scratches, Yew Lip will sand, putty and respray the lip. For that, its only S$25 per rim. Anything more extensive will be at Angie's discretion.

Hi Oomph,

How about rims with chrome finish. Can they repair as well.

I have some scratches on my new 19" rims too. Felt very health pain.

Is it really chromed or polished?
