replica 18 acs and ps2

hi

just had my rims and tyres changed from the 17 oem bmw and runflats 500km done to 18 acs replica and ps2 tyres.

i find the runflats more quiet and comfy than the 18/ps2 tyres...they roar.do ps2 tyres have those red lines when they are new.

noticed that my e60 slightly more sluggish i step the same on the accelerater but the rpm would go up as if engine labouring a bit.even though the oem 17 /rft felt alot heavier than acs 18 ps2.

i can see my steering wheel also shaking a little when going 80kmh...does that mean i need to have the rims balanced.if so where can i go becos the tyre shop where i brought it dont do it.

will pml blame the replicas if i have any problems with my car ..am thinking of taking back my oem rft and keeping them just in case

finally i felt 18 on e60 not chio enough still look smallist...but 19 my car cant take.

please comment.

TIA

Re: replica 18 acs and ps2

I think most replica wheels in the market dont machine the underside (Mounting surface) of the wheels.. which cause a "Slight" clearance between the mounting point of the car and the wheels..

Which it will result in wheels vibration which you encounter,,,

A good wheels or Replica wheels will have both side "machine" to make it real flat..so that it wouldnt happen.. BMW cars are very sentitive.. so care have to taken in choseing wheels..

Think it is better to go for a "High speed" balancing to solve the problem..There is one shop call "South East Tyres" who i would say "Expert" in solving this type of problem..Even better than PML...Trust me :)
