Replace E90 remote battery (Non Comfort Access)

Thanks. Need to self soldering the battery to chipboard? You use the replacement before?

The soldering is quite easy. Just need to use a desoldering pump. I replaced mine myself. The hardest part is to pry open the FOB. Many youtube videos.
I didnt get this kit, I got a custom made battery from SLS 2nd flr at $13 only to find Lazada sell the entire replacement kit at much less.

Irrelevant - Interestingly Apple Watch charger can charge the FOB

Looks like I need to buy the solder iron, rosin and pump and try it out. The battery from Lazada is VL2025 and YouTube mentioned VL2020.

Maybe I can try to charge the FOB using Apple Watch charger see if it’s work.

Yes it is a VL2020 batt for a one to one replacement. Since you do not have the soldering eqpt, I think u can pay the shop in SimLimSq L2 to do it for a small fee. Go to SLS L2, behind the adult toy shop alley. U cant miss the shop. Apparently there is a quite demand for this 2020 battery.

The soldering/desoldering job is at most 15mins. Just pry open the FOB before u bring it to them.

The Lazada one may still fit cuz the enclosure will be different.

So must get a new FOB first because once pry open cannot used back or you seal it back with superglue?

Pry open with a small flathead screwdriver. It should tear at the glue seam then use UHU glue to stick it back
