removing resonator on ACS exhaust

hi guys... i just installed ACS exhaust on my e60... just hope it can get louder... i heard taking the resonator off will make it louder? anyone here did it? how much does it cost.. can can reccomend a workshop? thanks alot.. :)

i heard taking of resonator on the intake can boost power? how do i do that? thanks

hi i have 1 installed in my e60 too it sounds wonderful but always hope to hear it louder if u know any new news abt resonator n workshop pls advise me thx

nice...whats ur E60? mine is 520... i heard it will sound louder on 525..or 530... or is it the same?

mine is 530 wish 2 have more sound at low end ???

not true shld be the same but im thinking changing cam ecu 4 the engine y not give it a try

removed it... have more sound at low end.. but the high end sound is abit silent..i dont know why...

u can do it at fong kim or man's plc. won't be much on labour charges.

acs exhaust generally gives a low bassy sound. can try operating the box by removing more of the cotton wrap but for sure you'll not get the kinda attention-seeking roar from acs.

removing the resinator will assists in better flow but will lose slightly on low end. de-cat which is illegal, will naturally sounds louder but it really depends on the brand of exhaust one is using.

having said that, insulation for our 5ser is extremely good, so don't expect to much of a growl while you're in the car.

so much abt how loud the pipes will sound, you will gain on high end with a straight thru exhaust.
