I own a E46 318. Just a quick check with the bros here...will removing the spare tyre affect the weight distribution and handling of the car in any way? Thanks for sharing...

You should be able to feel the difference when you corner hard after removing the spare tyre from the boot. However, if my memory serves me well, I think it's against the law to remove your spare tyre if your car comes with one. I stand to be corrected about the law thingy though..

but i read that this airman thing..only lets u pump the sealant into ur tire once. the next hit on the same tire u r gone. as the sealant that is pumped in cant do 2x once the first 'coat' has hardened.

SL2 is right with regard to law thingy
but if gets random checked by police, tell him off by saying that ur spare tire is in some tire shop for repair....
remove spare tyre--> carry less weight => better fuel consumption?
I've dumped my spare in store room for this reason alone
besides calling tow truck cost only about $40 to anywhere in Sg
When i removed my spare tire, the backside rose by 3mm...that's how heavy it is. I think the Airman kit is great. It gets me to the tire repair shop and that's all i want it to do. My philosophy is to ditch a tire once it is punctured, don't believe in having it patched up although there are many opinions wrt safety. Depends on individual, to each his own.
