Remove key from ignition and my CD players continue to play

FYI only....just some interesting encounter !

Yesterday, when i turn off the engine, pulled out my key, step out of the car, closed the door and activate the locking of doors - i notice that my CD player was still playing when i peep into the car.

I perform the std window reboot - Unlock car, insert key, turn on power (level 1), then turn off. And the CD player shuts.

Looks like windows95. Wonder where does the power comes from when i have turn off the engine power....:shock:

The CD is playing from the battery power.

Technically, the radio can play for 1hr after the switch is removed from the ignition switch. Its meant for users to remain entertained in the veh while waiting for somebody.

As for why it did not switch off, it is probably a software bug that affects the timer.

yea, it shld be a transient software bug that need some reset. Subsequently, everything went well after that. But it can be an indication that more problems are coming !!!!!:thinking:

Do a measure of your ground cable voltage loss, you should not exceed 0.4volts under all conditions such as engine starting and all electrics running.
